Sony LinkBuds 2 Expected Features
There are rumours about a new Sony earbud called LinkBuds 2. The big news is that they might have noise-cancellation technology, which is surprising because of their unique “open ring” design.
This design lets outside sounds come in naturally. If the rumours are true, Sony found a clever way to add noise cancellation to this different design.
These earbuds have shown up in a certification from Korea, and it seems Sony is keeping the main features of the original LinkBuds design.
Some small changes in the charging pins and driver holes are there, but the open-ring structure remains.
The leaks also suggest that the LinkBuds 2 will offer a great audio experience, as good as Sony’s WF-1000XM5 earbuds. They might use the same technology inside, called the MediaTek MT2833 chipset.
As for colours, the official filing shows a black version, but there might also be a light grey choice, according to leaks. We don’t know how long the battery will last yet, but the previous LinkBuds gave around five-and-a-half hours on a single charge.
Sony hasn’t said when the LinkBuds 2 will come out officially, but since they are showing up in official documents, it could be soon. The LinkBuds and LinkBuds S were launched in 2022, so this is the next upgrade for Sony’s earbuds lineup.
